Time for a new carpet?

Time for a new carpet?

With a month of 2021 under our belt, February is a great time to kickstart your home improvement and give your interior a facelift.

At Maltby’s of Chester, we are still operating safely to help our customers, from safely measuring for free to arranging sample collections or deliveries to your home.

You may have noticed your carpet wearing thin and downtrodden or being outdated. We think now is a great time to transform to make that change, nothing revolutionises a room more than a fashionable, fresh carpet.

With nearly a year of isolating and shielding, it’s time to assess if your flooring will stay with you throughout 2021.

Shades are staying

A trend we see staying for 2021, shades are easy on the eye and are a must for a modern interior. The BEHR Colour Trends 2021 Palette is a curated selection of hues from Barnwood Grey, Modern Mocha to Cellini Gold. Our favourite is Cormar Carpets, Apollo Elite – Grey Partridge, excellent for heavy domestic use and made in Britain.

Back to nature

Back-to-nature trends will continue throughout 2021! Natural materials like wool and jute are perfect for creating a mindful and peaceful interior. We love Karndean Morning Oak flooring, perfect for adding charm and glamour to any room.

Play with patterns

Fancy being more adventurous with your carpet in 2021? We reckon patterned flatweave runners add the perfect welcoming touch to your hall and stairway. From florals, geometrics, animal print to stripes, there’s a style for almost everyone out there. At Maltby’s of Chester, one of our bestsellers is the Roger Oates, Kobe Lantern adding the perfect blend of colour and texture to your home.
